Jak Coventry is a freelance production lighting electrician from Fife, Scotland but resides in Glasgow. He is currently studying on the BA Production Technology and Management course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Jak has had a passion for theatre since a very young age. 

 

Over the years, Jak has had the opportunity to support youth theatre groups and is able to support technical aspects in amateur companies as well as supporting and working with larger professional companies.

Jak's training so far has seen him work across all technical disciplines and therefore he fully understands theatrical systems. Jak is familiar with ETC, GrandMA2, Jester and Avolites and can programme and operate basic lighting cues. In addition, Jak is a competent QLab user.

As well as stage lighting, Jak is also experienced in stage and production management, and can support shows by propping, calling and managing where required.

Jak is trained to use T1 class pyrotechnics and is also member of the Association of Lighting Designers (ALD).
